Food used to be simple and healthy. You planted or grew your food, you harvested with respect for the plant, soil and animals, and you replanted so it renew itself, continuing its natural cycle.
In diverse cultures, locations and seasons, this was the way food was sourced and produced.
Big cities came about, concentrating good part of the population as it thrived at an accelerated pace. Food remained an essential need, but with the spread of cities it became difficult to source for everyone. People distanced from food as a culture, and conveniently forgot – or overlooked – where it came from.
Sustainable, healthy food products returned, now under the profile of a niche and segment.
Green Soul Foods germinated when combination of different experiences – Strategic Marketing consulting, Consumer Goods Marketing and Sales – met the passion of building viable businesses from truly sustainable products.
